Terms & Conditions

    • Tangentia Jigyasa Quiz is a team event and individual contestants will not be allowed to participate.
    • An individual cannot be a member of more than one team.
    • The team will represent a Business or Educational Institution and at least one team member should be studying/ working at the Business/Educational Institution being represented.
    • Any number of teams can represent a Business / Educational Institution.
    • Competition is open to full-time students from all disciplines and employees from any kind of business organization.
    • A student’s teams should preferably be made up of only students and a business team should be made up of only employees of a business organization. If there is a mixed team, it will be considered a corporate team and will bear the corporate name and corporate registration fees.
    • The average of the score is weighted in favor of the higher score by a ratio of 3:1. e.g  if the higher individual score is 80 and the lower individual score is 60 then the weighted average would be 80×3 + 60×1 / 4= 75 and not 70 as per the simple average.
    • Individuals within a team will have to take the prelims individually from 2 different systems (laptop or desktop)  at least 100 metres away from the other team member and the scores will be averaged to determine the score of the team for the prelims.
    • The contestant should have Whatsapp installed on his/her mobile phone.
    • The contestant will be strictly proctored (screen, video, and audio will be monitored) through their system’s front camera as well as a WhatsApp video call will be made by the Jigyasa team for surveillance.
    • The top 5 teams (top prelims qualifier) from across India will compete with the previous year’s winning team. The highest ranked team from Goa and the highest ranked student team will be guaranteed to make it to the finals.
    • The final round will be held on 6th March 2021 virtually (the virtual platform link and timing will be shared with the prelims qualifiers)
    • The preliminary qualified teams have to attend the final round together from their nearest 91 Springboard workspace or from Goa. The accommodation will be provided to the teams coming to Goa for final round participation.
    • Team composition cannot change once the prelim is done.
    • Once the registration is done. The money can not be refunded.
    • Participants should enter valid required information while registration
    • Participants should enter the valid required information on the exam portal for the prelims round.
    • Participants should have a good internet connection in their computer system as well as their phone.
    • Multiple answer submissions are not allowed for one question.
    • Preliminary rounds results will be out by 23rd February 2021
    • The organizers retain the right to make any changes to the event, its format, date, rules, and in any matter related to this event, at any time before or during the event.
    • Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any application to registration and/or entry to the event proceedings.
    • By participating in the Quiz, the attendees/participants permit themselves to be photographed / videographed / recorded by electronic and print mediums for telecast/publication and other display usages of the organizers.
    • Once you register for the event you indicate your acceptance that the decision of the organizers and quiz master will be final and binding on all issues related to Tangentia Jigyasa Quiz and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.
    • By registering for the event, you also indicate your acceptance that the organizers can send you communications from time to time regarding Tangentia Jigyasa Quiz or any other initiatives by the organizers.
    • Prizes once awarded will be final and there would be no exchange/substitution of the prizes to the winners.
    • Neither the organizers nor the sponsors, or employees of the organizers and sponsors may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of the prize by the winner once delivered by the organizers.
    • If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the organizers may substitute the prize at their discretion.
    • All tax liabilities wherever applicable will be the responsibility of the recipients of the prizes.
    • Management, employees, and families of the organizers (Tangentia Inc & Tangentia India Technologies Pvt Ltd) are prohibited from taking part in the quiz.
    • The organizer reserves the right to alter/ amend/ modify any rules of any contest at any time without any notice whatsoever.
    • If any participants have any questions or suggestions about the event, they are welcome to contact jigyasaquiz@tangentia.com.
    • The organizer reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this event at any time without prior notice.
    • In view of the pandemic situation, the entire event is being organized on a digital platform. The participants agree that the Organisers would in no way be responsible for the internet connectivity that is required at all stages of the Event. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to equip themselves with robust internet facilities to take part in the event.
    • The organizer reserves the right to alter/ amend/ modify any rules of any contest at any time without any notice whatsoever.
